James & Julie
James & Julie
James Roberts and Julie Sutkowski exchanged vows June 13, 2009. Julie and James looked beautiful saying their vows in the front of the smaller chapel at the large Heights Baptist Church in Richardson. The lighting is set up perfectly in the front from a videographer’s perspective. However, in the back, we used our custom designed portable balcony set at its higher setting to clear the heads of the guests. The alter area is much higher than the pews, so it was important to get up to their height from the back.
The professional AV person at the church had provided microphones for the pianist, vocalist, and violinist and provided us a direct feed for our camera. We provide microphones to pick up the two trumpets, organ and groom. This was such a fun family, even though her side had all come in from Chicago.
We picked recorded wonderful vows, plus the bride and groom talking during the candle lighting ceremony. They calmed one another down since the groom had a case of the nerves.
At the reception at Northwood Country Club they relaxed and even took a ride on the golf cart, with dress blowing in the breeze. The DJ really managed to get the crowd up off their feet. The bride smashed the cake into the groom’s face, at his request. Near the end, the bride was dancing with a cowboy hat to show that she was becoming Texan, like her new husband.
The Chapel at the Heights Baptist Church of Plano provided traditional setting. The Reception was at the exclusive Northwood Country Club in Dallas.
