Michael & Stephanie
Mike Kenney and Stephanie Shuurman tied the knot March 15, 2008 outdoors at the Arboretum in Dallas. There is no prettier place for an outdoor wedding than a March wedding when the flowers are in full bloom. Stephanie had planned this wedding for a long time and prayed for good whether. It was.
The music for the ceremony was provided by a single musician singing and playing his guitar. The center aisle was a very long one with steps that were almost too high for the flower girl. With the smell of sweet flowers filling the air, the couple was very special. Actually the couple stood in front of a beautiful waterfall. The waterfall sounds drowned out the sounds of the quieter parts of their vows. During editing we used proprietary techniques for removing the waterfall sounds from the recording, so that it was a perfect recording. The audience hadn’t heard any of the vows for the same reason.
We joined the photographer for a couple’s photo shoot between the ceremony and reception. We were far enough away to capture the background of beautiful White Rock Lake while the groom’s microphone allowed us to pick up their having fun giggling between their posed shots.
The reception was in the back yard of the historic DeGoyer home. The moon was bright and beautiful with some tree lights to brighten up the dancing area. Our on camera lights allowed us to brighten up the shadows on people picking up every detail of the cake cutting, bouquet toss and dancing.
At the peak of the blooming season, this outdoor wedding is at The Dallas Arboretum on the scenic White Rock Lake.
