Colten & Ellen

Colten & Ellen

Colten Hermann and Ellyn Brancheau got married March 8, 2008 at The Lodge in Commerce. The Lodge is a building on the outskirts of Commerce Texas, designed to be just like a lodge. The ceremony was outside of the lodge under a nice gazebo. Ellyn was such a beautiful and fun loving bride. The reason I call this a cowboy wedding is that after the ceremony, both the bride and groom put on cowboy boots. The minister excused himself to go to a rodeo and I learned the groom was a saddle salesman. The reception was inside the building, which had a second floor balcony that went all the way around. They managed to make good use of the balcony, because the dancers could be downstairs and those wanting slightly more quiet could be upstairs. Someone had put together a slide show of the bride and groom growing up and showed it during the reception. Afterword, we connected out video camera to the projector and showed a live feed of the dancing while we recorded. Many people begin showing off their dancing skills.

This “Cowboy” styled wedding was help at The Lodge in Commerce, TX. The ceremony was in the gazebo and the reception in the two story lodge setting.
