Stephen Cox and Hillary Phelps tied the knot at Heritage Ranch in Fairview, Texas, August 9, 2008. Hillary and Stephen are the all American handsome young couple. Which was very cute because their wedding was at Heritage Ranch Country Club, a retirement community. Many of the community wanted to peak at the wedding and had big smiles and well wishes of congratulations. The ceremony was actually in the large hallway with a beautiful sunny view of the groomed golf course. Which means challenges to recording. We were able to adjust for the angle of the sun, and captured very tender moments. The couple faced forward when then lit their unity candle, and their mom was thrilled to be able to finally see it on the video. They blocked her view during the real event. That is why we often say the video is better than real life.

There was a pianist and a stunning vocalist. We had arrived early enough, as always, to do sound level checks and place a microphone for the pianist and one for the vocalist. The vocalist hit such a high crescendo, that if we had not tested that level, it would have become distorted during the recording. You see, Hillary is also an accomplished vocalist and she really could appreciate a smooth recording of a voice.

They were married at the Melissa Country Club, with a lovely pianist and soloist playing during the ceremony.
